The fact that you can already summon your Tesla is pretty damn amazing. All you have to do is pull out your phones, tap a button, and then bam, here comes your car.
This feature is called ‘Summon’, but in the very near future, Tesla owners will be able to do something even more amazing. All they will have to do is think about summoning their car. Literally.
While giving a Neuralink presentation, a person asked that if they had a Neuralink device installed, would a person be able to summon their Tesla telepathically. Musk, of course, answered ‘yes’ with no delay. Then he said, ‘it would be easy.’
Even though Neuralink has not been tested in humans yet, Elon Musk is working closely with the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) to human trials going.
I think it’s going to be really amazing to see what all can be done with this device. Although plasticity is reduces as you get older, the human mind is still very much able to learn new things as an adult. The future is looking pretty awesome. Thanks, Elon.
